GAIL TATTOOS
Frequently Asked Questions
When I'm not tattooing, I am preparing and drawing for upcoming appointments. Due to this I typically only check my email inbox twice a week on my admin days. If you have questions regarding your appointment please check the FAQ below. If you are unable to find an answer to what you are looking for or have an urgent message that you need to get to me you can text me at (704) 579-5265 or message me through the chat option on Venue Ink.
1. When are your books open?
As of now, my books are open and I am accepting new clients. I book all appointments through Venue Ink so please try and refrain from texting or emailing about an appointment request if you have not filled out the booking form through Venue. Appointments are first-come first served and once we have discussed your appointment, I will send you an appointment time that you can book and leave your deposit on. I cannot hold appointment slots so if you have very specific requirements for date and time, I strongly recommending booking as soon as you receive your booking link.
2. How much will my tattoo cost?
My hourly rate is $150/hr and my deposits range from $20-50. Deposits come off the final price of your tattoo. Once I send you the booking link, I will also include the maximum time of how long your appointment is expected to take.
Shop minimum: (anything less than an hour) $100
1 hour appointment: $150
2 hour appointment: $300
3 hour appointment: $450
and thus forth.
Typically I will book you in longer than I think the tattoo will take to ensure we have time to complete all of the pre-appointment fun things such as paperwork and any design changes. The time quoted will be your maximum price you should expect to spend. More often than not your total will be less.
3. Where are you located?
70 Spring St. SW Concord, NC 28025
For full details on the location, where to park and how to get into the building click here
4. What forms of payment do you accept?
At this time I can accept cash, Venmo or Apple Pay. I strongly prefer cash but do not stress if this is not accessible to you!
5. I've gotten the tattoo...what now?
I always tell clients if they have healed tattoos in the past and have preferred method that differs from mine that's totally fine, you know your body better than I do, but as a general guideline:
Always wash hands before touching the tattoo. Leave the wrap on for approximately 1-3 hours. Remove the bandage and wash with unscented soap, (I recommend dove or ivory bar soap). Dab dry with a clean paper towel. Apply a very thin layer of Aquaphor and dab off excess amount with a clean paper towel (it shouldn't be overly glossy). Repeat washing and Aquaphor steps 2-3 times daily. I like to do my aftercare when I brush my teeth every morning and night. Avoid prolonged exposure to water/steam for 2 wks, (No soaking or swimming). Avoid extended sun exposure for two weeks. Make sure to wash the tattoo if you get anything in it such as sweat or dirt. After 2 wks, you may resume regular activities.
